From My Heart to Yours

Happy Saturday!  I hope you are enjoying your weekend.  Very short post today.  I found some cute paper at Michaels from ReCollections and it fits the card my sentiment perfectly.   Enjoy your day.

You're Simply Wonderful

Happy Saturday!  I hope your week was filled with lots of laughs and hugs.  I have a new addiction and it is creating shaker cards.  I love the way it sparkles and brightens someone's day instantly.  I spent a lot of time at JoAnn picking and  buying sequins and glitter.
Let me share a little about my card.  I used a die cutter to cut the heart in the center of my page.  I did this for both the top layer and the fun foam behind it.  Then I sprinkled tons of glitter and sequins in the center.  Lastly, I adhered everything together.

Here is a picture of my card standing.

Have a great day and I will see you tomorrow!

Peace on Earth

Happy Wednesday!  Thanks for stopping by my blog today.  As most of you know we are working on Christmas in July and we are almost half way there.  I used this stamp set yesterday and today I decided to pull the other sentiment from Peaceful Season.

I picked colored that were rich and earthy tone.  The bottom striped paper is from SU and it is cut to 2 1/2" x 4 1/4".  I added details with a white gel pen.  I wrapped satin ribbon around the entire card base front and added a faux bow.  Lastly, I colored the Earth from Peaceful Season and poured glossy accents on it.
Have a great day and I will see you tomorrow!

Season's Greetings

Happy Tuesday!  I hope you are having a great start to your day.
I have been trying to get back into my card making groove by looking through my old cards.  One particular year, it seemed very easy and I was on roll.  Shortly after that my family expanded and I became really exhausted.  I am just now getting my second wind and I feel better. I hope to
keep this momentum.

Easy card for today.  The masking technique is old one but a good one.
I started off with stamping the flowers and the stamping the same flowers on scrap paper.  I then cut out the scrap paper flowers and adhered them on top of the stamped flowers.  Then I stamped the leaves randomly on the top of the flowers.  This technique protects the flowers from the other ink.

One of the best sentiment sets out there.  I love the scroll look.  At the bottom I added faux pearls with this stuff called liquid pearls.  You can find it at most crafts stores but the ink.

I added pearls to the center of each flower.  I love this simple card.  Have a great day and see you tomorrow!

Close to My Heart - Very Merry Christmas

A Very Merry Christmas

Happy Monday! I am back with another fun and easy card today.  I purchased tons an inexpensive paper stacks while at scrapbook convention and I this bought MME Christmas stack. This stack is so cute!
I cut small pieces to fit the front of the card, Easy!

I stamped the Santa from Stampin Up Christmas Wishes.

This sentiment is from Close to My Heart and I do not know the name of it.

Here is the paper stack I bought for $2 and it is perfect for this week.
I will see you tomorrow!

you're sweet

Happy Thursday!!!
Today is one of my favorite types of days.  It is pouring outside and I can use the dark day to get some rest.  I wanted to upload this card I made on Monday.  Yes, Monday!

At the very bottom of this post you can find the dimensions to my layers for this card.  Everyone knows that Artiste is my favorite cartridge, however another favorite is Create a Critter.
I found this cute guy on that cartridge and since I had a honeycomb background, he is perfect!

Do not be afraid to use your handwriting in projects.  My handwriting is not the best but it works for me.
In the cricut craft room delete portions of the design and add your personal touch.  I used Peachy Keen Cute and Cuddly stamp for this little guy's face.

I hope you have a fantastic day and check back in tomorrow for Fabric Friday.

Card Recipe:
8 1/2 x 5 1/2 card base, scored at 4 1/4

Happy Bird-day to you!

Happy Thursday!  Fast post today...I made this card earlier in the week and because I have a little one it was not posted until today.  Summer is tons of fun when you cannot get anything done.
I bought this stamp set years ago from Darcie's Stamp at Scrapbook convention.

I colored the birdie with Stampin Up newest alcohol markers, Costal Cabana set.
Have a great day!

hello

Happy Monday!  Don't you just love when you use something old and it looks all new to you.  I found this little guys hanging out in a bucket of stamps and it was calling my name to color.  I quickly grabbed my Stampin Up Blendabilities markers to give the little guy a makeover.

Once again I used that cheap paper for the background.  Isn't the chevron paper delicious?  I love it so much I did not want to cut it.  This paper is Doodlebug Designs and I found it at Hobby Lobby. Yum!!!

I cut the "hello" from a cricut cart "Cursvie". Then I went over it with Stampin Up Blendabilities markers and it turned out too cute.
Isn't the chevron paper delicious?  I love it so much I did not want to cut it.

I hope you have a fantastic Monday!

it's your day

Happy Sunday!  I thought for sure I would post something last week but I was busy making shirts for my girls.  I am furiously making birthday cards for friends because my card stash is extremely low.  Stampin Up has new alcohol markers called Blendablities and of course I had to have some, right?  I so needed these markers, right?
The color I used was costal cabana and it is very similar to my pattern papers.

Not to long ago I spent some time shopping at the Scrapbook Convention and I got tons of paper stacks for $2 each. I love it!

Here is a front view of the card.

Enjoy your day!

hello

Happy Wednesday!  Do you ever send someone a special a little note in the mail to say "Hello"?  I make card all the time but just put them in a safe place until it is "time" to send it.  This summer I will try to send one off a week to friends and family across the country to brighten his or her day.  I am going to begin with my mother.
She will be very happy to get a hello card in the mail.

Have a great day and I will see you on Friday!

Thank you

Happy Monday!
Texas has some amazing weather…it was 80° on Saturday and now it 13°!  It is a little chilly but it is a beautiful day. I do appreciate the day off.
I had all of my cards finished for the week and just didn’t have time to load them online.
If I can make cards like this all week then I would have a month's worth of cards.  I put this card together in about ten minutes.  My goal is to work smarter and not harder.  Also I am beginning to purge my paper stash in my craft studio.  That will probably take about ten years to do.

Here is a simple tutorial.  Cut a piece of white card stock in half to make 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" card scored at 4 1/4".  Next I trimmed a piece of designer paper to 5 1/4" x 4".

Either punch or cut a heart out of a different paper. Stamp a sentiment of choice.  I choose thank you from a Stampin Up set.
Lastly cuts tags from scraps of paper and various sizes and you have a fun card that took only five minutes to make.
Enjoy your day!

Congratulations

Happy Tuesday!
I am trying to figure out how to keep my blog alive while working full time, being a wife, and mother.  My first desire was to post something at least four times a week but that did not work at all.  I am going to shoot for the stars on this one... 3 times a week.  I know, I know, that is not a lot but that is a start for me.
On to the first card of this week.  My husband's cousin is having a baby in May and I wanted to create a card for her.  I have been a little rusty lately but this card says in Celine Dion's voice "I'm Alive".  Sometimes I need a little inspiration to take off.
I found some old Stampin Up Designer series paper to provide me with some color inspiration.
I must say this is my go to stamp for my expecting mothers.

My cricut gives me a fast way to get a circle for the layers of my card.

I stamped the image multiple times on different papers to get her outfit and cut out each piece to adhere them to the original layer.

Another look at the final card.  Enjoy!

Sweet Valentine

Happy Thursday!  I am already reading for Valentine's Day!  This year is a very special year for my hubby and me.  We will celebrate our tenth year of marriage this year.  I still get butterflies when I think about him.  Valentine's Day cards, here we come!  I am already planning a Valentine's Day card for my stamping friends.

I guess my favorite color this year is this Pool Party from Stampin Up.  It is so sweet and lovely.  It pairs nicely with a light pink.
You really cannot see the stunning background layer.  The background is embossed with the Love plate from Stampin Up.  It even has a shimmer to the lettering.

I hope you stop back by later this week to see more.  Have a great day!

Congrats

Happy New Year!  This will be better than ever!
One of my family members is having a baby in May and since I have some time on my hands to make cards I am starting with her new baby.  This cutie is an old stamp set I bought from another demonstrator.  I colored this cutie with Stampin Up crayons and Copic markers.
The label is from Close to My Heart Cricut Artiste Collection Kudos.  I used Stampin Up ink Sahara Sand and Pretty in Pink.

To jazz my card I made the perfect envelope for my card.

I hope you have a wonderful start to 2014 and thank you stopping by!

Love Makes Christmas a Delight!

Happy Wednesday! I was digging yesterday through my paper stash and found this fun scrappin kit from Stampin Up.
This kit was sold by Stampin Up many years ago.  I love that chocolate paper with the big red and green stripes in this kit.  But oh wait, did you notice the embellishments.  All the embellishments come ready to stick and they are made with thick materials making my Christmas card for today a cinch.
I just added different layers to my card.
Here is a close up on the label.
I hope you have a great day and stay warm!

Thank you!

Happy Hump Day!  Very simple thank you card for a girlfriend.
You cannot tell but there is a sentiment at bottom right.  I guess I have too much light.

Ok I have a new tool that makes envelopes in a flash!  I love it and everyone should have one. Stampin Up carries it and of course it's in the Stampin Up colors.

Look at how cute the envelope and card are together.
Enjoy your day!

Thanks, I love being spoiled

Happy Monday/ Columbus day?!?  I hope you had a great day!  I had a lot going on today so this is going to be very fast post.  I found some old Stampin Up paper and made this simple card for a friend.
 Here is a close up!
Enjoy your day!

Mother's Day Cards {Day 2 Wonderful Mother}

Happy Sunday!  I think I am on a roll about making my cards for this week.  I have tons of Mom's day card to make then I have a few birthday cards to do as well.
My card today speaks volumes about how I feel about my Mom.  She is just as beautiful as this card.

This was a very card to make and it is really simple to do.  I stamped all the layers at the same time then added a background layer.

This charming butterfly is from Hannah Montana.  I have tons of rhinestone so my cards will have a bling to them until I can destash them.
I used Array of Sunshine to stamp all over my piece of Very Vanilla.

Wonderful Mother is Stampin Up Well Scripted set
(Love it)

I hope I have inspired you to make your mother's day cards.  See you tomorrow for a new card.  Sign up for my blog and don't forget to "Pin It"
