Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to all the dads and moms who are the dads in their home.
I was on a mission today to make shirts for my family for father's day.  They came out super cute.  Also I had a chance to make a card.  Enjoy your day!
I was so proud to see my hubby in this shirt today.

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Saturday Everyone!  Oh my, where did the week go?  Last Saturday I had a chance to go to scrapbook convention and it was a blast.  I got a chance to be up close with the man himself, Tim Holtz.  So that was wonderful. He was so sweet to take time to smile for the camera.
Later that night our air conditioner went out!!! If you don't know already I live in Texas and it is June!!!  My hopes of making fun cards with my new stuff was shattered by this unfortunate event.  I spent the whole week having repair people in and out of my house.  My craft studio was extremely hot and I could not stand to be in there more than 5 minutes.  I miss out making cards for the men in my life this year.  Everything is working properly and we all are ok!  Thank God!
Now I only have today and tomorrow to make my hubby two cards.  And what is a card without a mustache?
You know I had to do it.  I grabbed the mustache from Artiste cart and then stamped with black ink.  I stamped happy Father's day with Indigo Island from Stampin Up's Delightful Dozen.  Stop by tomorrow to see a different father's day card.

  • Basic Black Cardstock- 4 1⁄4” x 11” piece
  •   Whisper White Cardstock-3” x  3 3/4" and scrap for the mustache and sentiment
  • Sweet Shop DSP-4” x 5 1⁄4” piece

    Be Creative!

Dad, a Daughter's First Love

Happy Saturday!!!  I sure hope you are ready to spoil the dads of your life tomorrow.  I still have a few things to do for my hubby.  Here is a special card for all the daughter's out there.  My daughter is my husband's biggest fan and they have a very special relationship.  Have a creative day and an awesome weekend!

Supplies:  Copic Markers
Scrap paper
Pazzles Daddy and Daughter Cut file

You are so Appeeling!

Happy Tuesday Everyone!  The last two days have been so busy with a dance recital and pool time.  Boy time flies when you're having fun.  My daughter had her dance recital and she was beautiful little dancer.  Then on Monday we met with friends to sit in a pool to beat the heat.
I am in love with mustaches.  I know that sounds weird but it is something about a men with a mustache.  LOL
Here is my card for today...
I used my imagine to color and cut the banana in Stampin Up colors Very Vanilla and Delightful Daffodil.   I added some texture with a Stampin Up embossing folder.

One reason I fell in love with my Pazzles is because of the writing capabilities.  I can use any font I have on my computer.

If that mustache doesn't make you laugh then I don't know what will.

Enjoy!

Supplies:  Cricut Imgaine- Create a Critter
Pazzles
Colors- Delightful Daffodil, Baja Breeze, Very Vanilla, Early Expresso

Happy Father's Day

Happy Friday!!!  I am trying to get all of my dad's cards done this weekend because I have my anniversary card I must make.  I hope you enjoy my card today!

I made a fun card to give to my hubby with the frame and here it is. I sometimes feel intimidated when it comes to making masculine cards for my hubby or dad, however, I think this turned out very masculine. The colors I used are Early Expresso,  Baja Breeze, and Very Vanilla.  The stamp set is Delightful Dozen from Stampin Up.  Ok, I am not for sure about the name of embossing folder, but you if you recognize it leave me comment.
Have a creative day!

Dad Frame

Hey Crafters!!! Did you miss me?

I have a fast tutorial for you today.  If you are thinking about something that your hubby can use at his office or media room here is the perfect and inexpensive gift for him.  So let's begin!!!
First download my dad frame Dad CCR
You will need to have Birthday Bash cart, CCR, CCR basic.

Cut 3 dads out of desire paper.  I made two shadow cuts from the brown and thin chip board.  The blue polka dot is in the regular font.
One easy way to adhere large pieces together is to use 3M General Purpose 45.  This stuff is sticky so be prepared to move quickly and accurately.

This is what is it looks like after adhering all pieces together.

In the  Cricut Craft Room or CCR file there are frame holders.  I used about 3 to hold to my frame.  I used (2) 1x6 and (1) 3x6.  On the 1x6 score it at 2 & 4 in. and the 3x6 score it 1 in. from both sides.

Crisp the score lines and tape the triangles together as demonstrated in the picture.
Adhere the triangles to the back of the frame.

Now the frame should stand all by itself.

Add embellishments and pictures to frame.

What Dad would not be in love with your frame.  I hope you enjoy this tutorial.  Stop back by tomorrow for a father's day to match this frame.  Also I have received emails on my whereabouts and I will update all of you on my status.

Daddy

Good morning crafters!!! Really fast post before I leave for the morning. Today's card is a small representation of all the names we can call our fathers. You will notice one name "Yaddy". My daughter has been calling her father that for the longest and I thought she was saying Daddy. So please enjoy your weekend and please don't forget to click on the follow button if you enjoy coming to my blog. Have a Creative day!

What’s Cooking?

We are super close to father's day and I found this amazing cut file from Pazzles. I just like the BBQ grill and a gift card. You may have noticed the gift card is an old card, I promise I will get him a new one. Enjoy!

Father’s Day

Hey Crafters!!!

Father's day is quickly approaching and I am making different cards for all the specials Dads in our lives. This was a very cool card to make and it took no time at all. If you haven't check out Mojo sketches, then Google it and I am sure you will find tons of card sketches to try. There is a new sketch every week. Ok to the paper focus. I found this paper at JoAnn a couple months ago and I love it. It seems to be non-gender specific. I will post another picture with the same paper and you can be the judge. Have a great Saturday!!
