14 Days of Love {Love You to the Moon and Back}

Happy Monday!
Often we forget about making our little ones V-day cards and here is the right one for my little one. My daughter is too young for this card but I will put this in her baby book.  If you have never read the children's book Guess How Much I Love You then now it is a great time to grab this adorable book.  I read it to my eldest daughter a lot.  At the end of the story is this quote "Love You to the Moon and Back".  I saw the wording in the Silhouette online store and Baby Steps ran to my mind.
Here is the front of the card.  I wanted a peaceful background so I sprayed my top layer with copic makers. I used colors like pink, several purples, and blues.

I also colored in the moon with copic markers.

I recently purchased Baby Faces stamps from Peachy Keen.

This is the perfect wording for this card.
Make sure you make a card for your little one.

Supplies:
Copic Markers
Peachy Keen Baby Faces
Recollections DSP
Airbrush

Snow Special $1.00

Happy Wednesday!  Can you believe it is 2013 and it is already the 2nd of January?  Where did the time go and why does it fly by so quickly? My little pumpkin is already two months!!!
Remember I got a cool gift for Christmas?  Well, I am having a ball playing with the different features.  I  have a pazzles and it can do a lot of what no other cutter can do but this Silhouette makes things easy and fast.  My card today has what it is called Print and Cut feature.  This feature allows you to print an image and cut accurately around the image.  About 11 years ago I bought clip art from a company DJ inkers and I found myself limited because I had to cut everything out.  Now I don't have to cut every little piece out, my Silhouette will do it for me.  It took all of 5 minutes.  Love it!
Started with air brushing the background with Copic markers.

You can see just how close my cutter can cut.

DJ Inkers clipart is so stinkin cute even after 11 years.

Come back tomorrow to visit me and see another card.  Have a creative day!

Count Your Blessings

Happy Monday!  Everyday we should be reminded to count our blessing and here is my start to my day.
Walk in My Garden is a very old cartridge and I never look to use it for anything.  I'm not for sure why I purchased the cart in the first place. I also bought this stamp years ago and just used it this for the first time this weekend.  This is how things work around my craft room.

I used copic markers to color the stamped image. I love to color and I should take a copic to learn more about the technique.  Ever time I think about going to the class I think I could use that $50 for more tools.  Of course I did use the Imagine to print a few embellishments.

Of course I did use the Imagine to print a few embellishments.
I thought the added ladybugs was a nice touch since the little girl has one in her hands.

I bought colored lacquer a couple of years ago to intensify my color die cuts and it amazing.  I cut these ladybugs at .50 inch from Walk in My Garden.

Another look at the beautiful colors.

What a cutie pie!

Enjoy and don't forget to count your blessings everyday!

Love ya

Happy Monday to you!
I hope you had a great weekend. I had tons of fun this weekend. I went to brunch with a friend, dinner & movie with hubby, and shop at Joanns. It was a great weekend. For my card I used Sweethearts Cart, spellbinder scalloped heart die and Lace and Linen paper stack. Have a great Monday!
I have to really honest about the girl scouts' cookies the other day, I ate the small baggie.  When I looked at my blog those cookies kept calling my name.  I could not resist!!!  I was weak. I am sure you are thinking in your mind "Kim, there are more cookies on your blog today".  I  ran out of cookies so we had to bake some last night.  I made a gable box with Pazzles today. One reason I love the Pazzles is because of the scoring ability.
Here is my pattern with score lines!!! Cannot get any better than that.

Just added those yummy cookies!

If you haven't played with Copic markers and airbrush system, loads of fun.  I used Spellbinders oval and scallop die to  make this label.

Enjoy your day!

Happy Thursday Everyone!
My goal is get rid of all the bad foods in my craft room. I am not for sure why I have sweets in my room but I do. This is a perfect way to not eat everything that is covered in chocolate. The tag for bag is from Birthday Bash and it is cut at 4.87x 1.71.  I am sure it doesn't matter if you have my exact measurement.  The frog and Kiss Me is from Sweethearts cart.  The size of the frog is 2 in and Kiss Me is 1.5 in.

I just love Stampin Up's colors.  This is Wild Wasabi and Melon Mambo.

Add details with a white gel pen and Sharpie.

I always add blush to my die cuts.

While at Scrapbook convention I picked up colored lacquer and it is perfect for the kiss.

Hey crafters I hope you are having an awesome Sunday. As promised I have a flower tutorial just for you. I hope you enjoy and trust me there will be more flower tutorials to come. For the last few weeks or so I have been waiting for the awesome Flower Shoppe Cart to come to Joann or Michaels so I can get it at discounted price and that never happened. I called every week and nothing. Then I got fed up with waiting and I bought it through Custom Crops only to find out it was on back order through the end of September. So my last resort was to order it through Cricut and pay full price for it. And I did.
I was out this weekend in the craft stores and guess what I saw the cartridge at both stores. It would have been $19 bucks but instead I paid $29. BOO! Just one of those things. Now for the card it is cut at 5.5 from the Wild Card cart. The circle layer is cut at 4 from George Basic Shapes. Now watch the spiral flower tutorial and leave a comment about it or something else. Enjoy your Monday off and check back for other crafts. Don’t forget to sign up for my blog and/ or email alerts. I HEART MY FOLLOWERS!

you're so stinkin' cute

you're stinkin cute is really stinkin cute. I bought some stamps last week and I really wanted to used it on the stunk from Create a Critter cartridge. I made the card using elegant edges and my gypsy. I just love using Stampin Up My Digital Studio for the designer paper. The paper is Berry Blossom with coordinating papers of Calyso Corral and Wysteria. The stunk is layered on a spellbinders die and I cannot remember the name. If you have any question on my card please leave a comment. Don't forget to sign up for my blog and/or email alerts. Have a great day!

Happy Birthday Baby Bear

One of my dearest friend's son is turning one and he is the cutest boy I have ever seen. He has these amazing blue eye, just love him. The family's last name is Bear and I have always called him Baby Bear. So it is only right to have a bear card. My card is 4 1/4 x 11 and scored at 2 3/4 and 5 1/2. this card is too simple. I added a 3 inch bear from Twinkle Toes. The double sided paper is from Stampin Up. Enjoy your day!

Dancing is the poetry of the feet

Last Black Friday Walmart had Twinkle Toes Premier and I was so desparate for the cartridge I sent my husband at midnight to brave the crowd to get his dear wife one. He got there and there were tons of women swarmed around the display. He was able to snag one for me. I am so lucky to have him!!! So you would think I have been using this cartridge for 7 months right??? Wrong! This is my first card using Twinkle Toes and I love it.
I was being very lazy and made a pattern on my Pazzles. So now when I want to make a diorama card I can press a button to cut. There are different recipes out there but you are interested in my recipe, please leave a comment.

I measured the front of the card to make the curtains. I wanted a multi layered curtain affect. When you look in there are rows and rows of curtain as though she is beginning to perform.
Since my daughter dances I tried to recreate the feelings into my card like the front pleated curtain. I took a 12x1 sheet of paper and pleated it all the way down and scallop with pearls. The paper is from My Digital Studio from Stampin Up. I printed a 12x12 sheet of designer paper.
The ballerina is cut at 2.5 with everything in proportioned to 2.5. I some special touches to the ballerina like a cute skirt and earrings.
